About the project

A complete loft conversion of a house in Bude, Cornwall. To create the necessary space, we raised the height of the roof and constructed a new roof, both a pitched roof and a flat roof (the pitched roof was tiled with Brazilian slate, the flat roof was created using fibre-glass). Five dorma bay windows were added into the new flat as a means of creating additional space alongside adding light into the building. Stud (plasterboard) walls were used to partition the apartment both where was desired by the customer and what was required by planning for fire regulation. The walls were then plastered and painted.
